About This Song
About "La complainte des infidèles (From "La Maison Bonnadieu")" by Michèle Arnaud
From 'La Maison Bonnadieu,' 'La complainte des infidèles' is a smoky, theatrical lament. Arnaud inhabits the role of the wounded observer, her voice a velvet dagger. The song's tension lies in its elegant arrangement, which frames betrayal in a deceptively beautiful, almost forgiving light.
