About "Bensonhurst Blues" by Artie Kaplan
Kaplan’s Bensonhurst blues is a street-corner memoir: neon reflections on wet asphalt, the smell of knishes and regret. A wry, lived-in voice narrates small-time dreams and dead-end bars, turning mundane details into a bittersweet, funny-sad portrait of a neighborhood that never quite lets go.
