About "Vivaldi: Concerto for Strings in G Minor, RV 153" by Christopher Hogwood
Vivaldi's G-minor string concerto opens with a dark, churning pulse—a storm gathering behind closed shutters. The music is all coiled tension and restless forward motion, the ensemble's tight, wiry counterpoint creating a sense of elegant unease, like a formal dance performed on the edge of a precipice.
