About "String Quartet No. 11 in F Minor, Op. 122 : Shostakovich: String Quartet No. 11 in F Minor, Op. 122: 2. Scherzo: Allegretto" by Borodin Quartet
A scherzo that grins through gritted teeth. The Borodin Quartet plays Shostakovich's Allegretto as a manic puppet show—wooden limbs jerking, cymbals of dread crashing behind the jaunty tune. The joke is on us, and the punchline is a shiver.
