About This Song
About "Lohengrin, WWV 75, Act I: Dank, König, dir, daß du zu richten kamst! (Live)" by Bayreuther Festspielchor
The Bayreuth chorus opens Lohengrin with a public plea for justice, its live acoustics lending a raw, theatrical urgency. Beneath the stately address to the king, unease flickers: a community demanding truth while already trembling at the answer it might receive.
