About This Song
About "This Old Man (Knick-Knack Patty-Whack)" by Larry Groce
A nimble nursery rhyme reimagined with a wink. Larry Groce turns the old man’s rhythmic knick-knack into a playful, almost theatrical romp, each verse a tiny percussion solo. The tension lies in the escalating absurdity—a children’s song that feels like a vaudeville act, charming and slightly unhinged.
