About This Song
About "Les contes d'Hoffmann, Prologue : Offenbach: Les contes d'Hoffmann, Prologue: Et! Luther! Ma grosse tonne" by Choeur De La Radio Suisse Romande
Offenbach’s Prologue bursts from a tavern cellar. ‘Et! Luther! Ma grosse tonne’ rollicks with wine-soaked bravado, the choir a chorus of revelers. Beneath the comic swagger, a shadow of Hoffmann’s tragic muse flickers—bacchanal as prelude to heartbreak, laughter echoing toward the uncanny.
