About This Song
About "Handel: Mi palpita il cor, HWV 132c: VI. Aria. "Se un dì m’adora la mia crudele"" by Artaserse
Handel's 'Se un dì m’adora la mia crudele' is a study in bittersweet irony. Artaserse delivers the aria with poised restraint, the melody's sweet turns masking a core of hurt. The emotional see-saw between hope and resignation is captured in every graceful ornament.
