About This Song
About "Piano Concerto No.2 in C Minor, Op.18: III. Allegro scherzando" by Chicago Symphony Orchestra
Rachmaninoff's Allegro scherzando is a glittering, mischievous whirlwind—the piano as both jester and storm. The Chicago Symphony balances wit with weight, the concerto's third movement darting between shadow and sparkle. Tension lives in the grin: joy with a knife behind it.
