About This Song
About "It Makes Me Money" by Smokie
Smokie's 'It Makes Me Money' is a wry, pub-rock shrug, its chugging riff and cheeky vocal a cash-register grin. The tension is between easy swagger and a faint cynicism: a jukebox tune that knows exactly what it's selling, and enjoys the transaction.
