About This Song
About "Orchestral Suite No. 3 in D Major, BWV 1068 : J.S. Bach: Orchestral Suite No. 3 in D Major, BWV 1068: II. Air" by The English Concert
Bach's Air is a slow, suspended breath—a single melodic line floating above a walking bass like mist over still water. The English Concert resists sentimentality, letting the tune's quiet grandeur unfold with a calm that feels almost fragile, a held pause before the world resumes.
