About This Song
About "Riccardo primo, re d'Inghilterra (1727): Aria Agitato da fiere tempeste (I, 6)" by Bejun Mehta
Handel whips up a storm of fierce tempests, and Mehta’s agile countertenor rides the squall. Agitation is the engine here—each rapid run a gust, each leap a lightning crack. The aria’s fury feels thrillingly controlled, a tempest in a gilded cage.
