About "Mozart: Flute Concerto No. 2 in D Major, K. 314: I. Allegro aperto" by Aurèle Nicolet
Mozart's Allegro aperto is a door flung wide—the flute steps into the light with confident, singing tone. Nicolet balances brilliance with warmth, the orchestral accompaniment a velvet cushion. There's drama here, but it's the drama of a clear sky, expansive and untroubled.
