Lyrics
Payday is coming, and I've got those payday blues
Payday is coming, and I've got those payday blues
I've got so many women, 'til I don't know what to do
Now look-a, here is Jane, she wants a great big car
And there is Ruby, she wants a portable bar
And there is Lula, she wants a TV set
And there is Carrie, she'll take anything she gets
Oh baby, I've got those payday blues
Boys, I've got so many women, 'til I don't know what to do
Now look-a, here is Mary, she wants silk and lace
And there is Doris, she wants cosmetic for her face
And there is Bessie, she wants furniture too
And here comes Nelly, ain't satisfied with nothin' I do
I say, whoa baby, I've got those payday blues
Boys, I'm in all lots of trouble, and I don't know what to do
Payday is coming, and I've got those payday blues
