About This Song
About "L'absence" by Bernard Sauvat
Absence as a physical presence—Sauvat’s voice hovers in empty space, each phrase a quiet echo. The arrangement is spare, almost skeletal, letting the silence between notes do the emotional work. A masterclass in restraint and lingering sorrow.
