About "I Won,t Dance" by Lollo Meier
The title says refusal, but the music betrays a flirtation. Meier's jaunty rhythm and sly, clipped phrasing suggest a dance floor game of cat and mouse—protest as invitation. It's the sound of saying no while your feet keep moving.
