About This Song
About "III, 6: Aria (Amadigi: Sento la gioia)" by Al Ayre Español
Amadigi's aria 'Sento la gioia' is joy performed as a tightrope walk. Al Ayre Español lets the voice shimmer, but the tension is in the control—euphoria held in check by Baroque discipline. The title promises gladness; the music asks what it costs to feel it.
