About "Flute Concerto in A minor, Wq. 166 : C.P.E. Bach: Flute Concerto in A minor, Wq. 166: 1. Allegro assai" by Aurèle Nicolet

C.P.E. Bach's A-minor Allegro assai erupts with stormy Sturm und Drang energy—Nicolet's flute a bright blade cutting through agitated strings. This is empfindsamkeit with teeth: sudden dynamic swerves, restless sequences, a concerto that feels improvised even in its precision. The tension between control and outburst never resolves, and that's the point.
