About "The Pine Float" by Angelo Badalamenti
The Pine Float drifts on a bed of shimmering vibraphone and soft-focus synths. Badalamenti creates a weightless, underwater feeling—a cocktail lounge at the bottom of a pool. The melody is sweet but slightly off, a pleasant memory that curdles at the edges. Pure Lynchian unease in a pastel wrapper.
