About "Better (Micky More Classic Mix)" by Angela Johnson
Micky More's classic mix polishes Johnson's 'Better' into a buoyant, string-laced house-soul confection. The imagery is of rising—stepping out of shadow into a brighter room—while the vocal carries the hard-won ambivalence of someone convincing themselves that better days are truly ahead.
