About This Song
About "Serse, HWV 40, Act I: Aria. Va godendo vezzoso e bello (Romilda)" by Chor Der Bayerischen Staatsoper
In 'Va godendo vezzoso e bello,' Romilda's voice dances with brittle grace, a butterfly pinned to baroque convention. The chorus echoes her flight, but the sweetness feels precarious—joy shadowed by the knowledge that beauty fades. Handel's melody sparkles while the heart quietly braces for the fall.
