About "Die Freunde von Salamanka, D. 326, Act II : Schubert: Die Freunde von Salamanka, D. 326, Act II: No. 18, Finale. Gnäd'ge Frau, ich hab die Ehre" by Edith Mathis
Schubert’s finale bustles with comic ceremony, Mathis threading polite charm through a maze of mistaken identities. The music smiles, but beneath the gracious phrases, social masks slip—a gentle satire where honor and absurdity waltz together.
