About "Orfeo ed Euridice, Wq. 30 : Gluck: Orfeo ed Euridice, Wq. 30: Dance of the Blessed Spirits "Melody" (Arr. Sgambati for Piano)" by Nelson Freire
Sgambati's arrangement distills Gluck's blessed spirits into piano alone—Freire plays it with weightless gravity. The melody hovers, serene yet aching, a ghost dance where tranquility and longing are indistinguishable.
