About This Song
About "I'm An Old Cowhand (From the Rio Grande)" by Larry Groce
Groce tips his hat to the singing cowboy tradition, but with a knowing grin. The Rio Grande stretches wide as a lullaby, yet the jaunty melody hints at wanderlust and mild mischief. It’s a gentle parody of Western swagger—warm, nostalgic, and just sly enough to keep adults listening.
