About "No Me Gusta (Playa Mix)" by Alvaro Cabana
Cabana’s 'Playa Mix' of 'No Me Gusta' submerges a petulant hook in saltwater and sunstroke. The beach setting becomes a site of ambivalence: lazy, sun-bleached chords and a shuffling beat suggest relaxation, yet the vocal’s repeated refusal (“I don’t like it”) leaves a bitter aftertaste—pleasure tinged with stubborn resistance.
