About This Song
About "Rescue and Loss" by Simon Franglen
Franglen's cue pairs oceanic vastness with intimate grief. Strings swell like tides, then recede into fragile piano. The title's paradox—rescue and loss—unfolds in slow motion: a hand reaching through water, grasping nothing. Beauty and devastation share the same breath.
