About This Song
About "La traviata: Act 2, Un di, quando le veneri" by Bayerisches Staatsorchester
Verdi's 'Un dì, quando le veneri' floats on a gauzy memory of past happiness, Giorgio Germont's baritone aching with paternal regret. The Bayerisches Staatsorchester cushions the melody in warm strings, yet a shadow of moral compromise darkens each phrase. Tender and unsettling, a lullaby for lost innocence.
