About "Tannhäuser, WWV 70, Act II: Der Sänger klugen Weisen (Live)" by Bayreuther Festspielorchester
In this live Tannhäuser excerpt, the Sängerkrieg's competitive fire is palpable. The Bayreuth orchestra and chorus deliver Wagner's intricate counterpoint with precision and heat, the 'clever melodies' of the title becoming a duel of egos. It's thrilling, cerebral, and quietly dangerous.
