About This Song
About "Rico Changui" by Celia Cruz
Celia Cruz and Johnny Pacheco ignite a Bronx-born firestorm. 'Rico Changui' swings with brass stabs and call-and-response joy, a classic Fania-era celebration. The rhythm is a living thing—percussion and piano locking horns while Cruz's voice cuts through like sunlight through a tenement window.
