About This Song
About "Te Deum in D major, H.146" by Charles Brett
Handel’s Te Deum bursts with ceremonial brass and choral blaze, yet Brett’s countertenor threads a human fragility through the pomp. The D-major setting feels like sunlight on gilded domes—triumphant, yes, but shadowed by the knowledge that every hallelujah is temporary.
