About "Mon Amant De St Jean" by Patachou
A Saint-Jean lover, all fire and fickleness—Patachou delivers this waltz with a shrug and a sparkler's fizz. The melody pirouettes like a flame, but her tone hints at ash: devotion as a beautiful, brief blaze that leaves only smoke.
