About "Worried About the Dog" by Bruce Broughton
A title that promises domestic anxiety, and Broughton delivers: pizzicato strings tiptoe like paws on hardwood, while a lone clarinet frets. The cue is comic yet tense, a small-scale study in worry that never tips into farce—just a dog, a dilemma, and a beautifully nervous score.
