About This Song
About "Julie Ann Johnson" by Cathy Fink
Fink picks 'Julie Ann Johnson' with a bright, old-time bounce, the fiddle and banjo trading grins. Yet beneath the porch-swing ease, there’s a flicker of restlessness—a name repeated like a riddle, the song’s cheerfulness masking a quiet, unresolved longing.
