About This Song
About "I Don't Need No Woman Hanging Around" by Bobby Lee Trammell
A sneering, stomping declaration of independence from domesticity. Trammell's voice drips with a forced bravado, but the frantic guitar betrays a man protesting too much. It's a rockabilly anthem of stubborn solitude, where freedom sounds suspiciously like a hollow room.
