About This Song
About "The Fool" by Bob Luman
A jester's lament dressed in rockabilly clothes, 'The Fool' finds Luman playing the clown for love. The jaunty melody belies a bruised ego, his voice cracking on the punchline. It's the sad-sack anthem for anyone who's ever laughed to keep from crying.
