About This Song
About "Spotlight" by Andrea Oliva
Spotlight is tech-house as stagecraft. Oliva places a vocal sample center stage, then surrounds it with shuffling hats and a bassline that struts. The tension is exposure versus anonymity, a bright beam on a dark floor, daring you to step into it and move.
