About "It's Fun to Be Free (From "World of Motion")" by Buddy Baker
Buddy Baker's theme for Epcot's World of Motion is pure optimistic kitsch—a jaunty, brass-forward celebration of progress. It's fun to be free, the melody insists, but there's a ghostly unease in its relentless cheer. A time capsule of futurist hope, now tinged with nostalgia.
