About This Song
About "The Flower of Sweet Strabane" by Barry Douglas
Douglas shapes this Irish air with delicate restraint, the piano a quiet bloom of nostalgia. The flower of Strabane unfurls slowly, its melody a tender ache that never quite resolves. There's a homesick stillness here, like a pressed petal kept in a book of prayers.
