About "Stabat Mater, P. 77 : Pergolesi: Stabat Mater, P. 77: XII. Duet. Quando corpus morietur – Amen" by Christopher Hogwood
The final duet of Pergolesi's Stabat Mater opens with a hollow, grieving hush—'Quando corpus morietur'—before dissolving into a whispered 'Amen.' The tension is unbearable: sorrow suspended between resignation and hope, the voices entwining like two hands clasped in the dark, refusing to let go.
