About This Song
About "Blister in the Sun" by Bruce Lash
The Violent Femmes' jittery anthem is slowed to a crawl, its manic energy replaced by a simmering unease. 'Blister in the Sun' becomes a sunburn of the soul—painful, raw, and impossible to ignore. Lash's delivery is deadpan, letting the title's imagery fester in the heat of quiet desperation.
