About This Song
About "It's Starting to Snow" by Carter Burwell
From The Finest Hours, Burwell lets snow begin as a single, high piano note—then a drift of strings. It’s Starting to Snow captures the hush before crisis: serene flurries masking a rising tide of orchestral anxiety, beauty and peril falling in equal measure.
