About "Turina: Sevillana, Op. 29" by Andrés Segovia
Turina's 'Sevillana' is a postcard from Andalusia, but Segovia refuses mere picturesque charm. The guitar strums with a smoldering intensity, each phrase a flick of a fan, a glimpse of a heel. Beneath the festive surface, there's a taut, almost dangerous energy—desire performed as ritual.
