About This Song
About "Kanu" by Alou Sangaré
'Kanu' means love, but Sangaré treats it as a riddle rather than a declaration. Warm, cascading guitars wrap around a vocal that holds back as much as it gives. The emotional register is tender vigilance—affection shadowed by the fear of loss.
