Charon’s eyes linger on my form

Eternal life is something to abhor

Horrid phylactery

Soul interred, cyclical rebirth

Lychgate calls me, chimes lead me

Strange melodies not quite of this earth

A frothing black mixture of death and disease

The winds in my sail boiling fumes from deceased, corrupted men

In the prime of their brine

To pass over into the endless abyss is what it means to be alive

Waning of the tides has thinned the space between hell and I

Now caught between Scylla and Charybdis

Beset on by all sides

I will cross the river

Currents cleanse

Dead shore awaits
