About "Helen A Handbasket" by Tyler Bates
A wry title masks a descent. Bates twists carnival brass into a funeral march, the melody skipping like a broken music box. Helen's face may launch ships, but here it launches a handbasket straight to hell—gleaming, orchestral, and grimly inevitable.
