About This Song
About "Stairs Arrival" by Tyler Bates
Ascending figures climb a vertiginous scale, each step a held breath. Bates turns 'Stairs Arrival' into a study in anticipation: the calm of the climb versus the unease of what waits at the top. Percussion ticks like a clock running out.
