About This Song
About "Leaning On A Lamp Post (Re-Recorded Version)" by Herman's Hermits
Leaning on a lamp post, Herman's Hermits paint a vaudevillian vignette of waiting and wanting. The re-recorded version glows with soft-focus harmonies, yet a restless undercurrent hums—sweet anticipation shadowed by the fear of being stood up. Charming, but never saccharine.
