About This Song
About "Slop Boogie" by Willie Dixon
Recorded at the Village Gate, 'Slop Boogie' is a loose-limbed instrumental that revels in its own mess. Dixon and Memphis Slim trade licks with the ease of old friends, the boogie-woogie pulse greasy and unkempt. It's a party in progress, captured mid-spill.
