About "La Jibarita" by Augusto Coén Y Su Orquesta
Augusto Coén's 'La Jibarita' rustles like sugarcane in a humid breeze, a nostalgic portrait of rural Puerto Rico. Beneath the lilting melody, a wistful tension lingers—the dance is joyful, yet the memory of a vanishing world shadows every note.
