About This Song
About "Sibelius: Valse triste, Op. 44 No. 1 (Recorded 1967)" by Berliner Philharmoniker
Sibeliusâs Valse triste is a waltz for ghosts. The 1967 recording by the Berliner Philharmoniker has a dusty, haunted warmth. Strings sway between nostalgia and dread, a dance that slows into silence. Itâs elegance as a premonition.
